The filter is in the tank and you have to unscrew all of the screws on top of the fuel pump assembly flange to get the pump out and then you will locate the filter in the bottom part of the fuel pump assembly. The ilmor 6000 does not have a fuel and water separator. -

I second your opinion about the telescope tower. That thing must weigh about 1000-1500lbs and cost 50000$ and add around 75k$ to the sticker price of the boat. No one in their right mind has been asking for such a tower and added cost. Also the actuated rear comparment is a bad idea and completely unnecessary...Leave a comment:

I did this mod to my XStar as I just will not put hundreds of pounds of lead on top of the plastic hard tanks without distributing the weight more evenly. I used a 10 mm thick board and then some anti slide cross members to eliminate bags from moving around....Leave a comment:

My friend in Holland has a 2018 Xstar and the same exact thing has happened to his tabs!!! He uses the goofy side so his port side tab has been severely bent. Fortunately this is impossible to happen as my bunks are only under my boat hull and do not extend over it and I have never tried to move the tabs while having the boat on the trailer. Water has caused my tabs to bend as I stated in my initial message....Leave a comment:
