As title really, I can't find any manuals with the capacity on it.
It's a 2014 prostar with 1:1.22 trans, I presume it will be dexron iii ATF, but how much?

MV8 check engine
2015 Prostar with 5.7 MV8 with double puck ZO
I get a check engine alert fairly often when switching ZO on when towing (trick & slalom modes) after the skier has started.
Any ideas what is causing this? When I go into diagnostics it just says check engine error with no...

waterlogged882 it depends if you can get hold of the gaskets, when I did mine they were mid covid, rare as rock horse poop and when chandlers had a pair they wanted north of eq of $50 for a pair, so I just crushed the mid section of mine and fitted them on. The silicone ones are quite softwalled th...

My original ones were softwall i.e. no spiral wind, you normally need to crush the hose to get it on. I replaced them with marine exhuast temp rated silicone hoses

whats the incoming voltage on the hot side of the TPS?
IF it runs, then the pickup coil inside the dizzy is probably OK, but could be breaking down, but my experience is it either works or it doesn't.
Having run, diagnosed and fixed my TBI for 20+ years I can confidently say...

If it has the plugs going into the ECU from both sides, then it's MEFI2, if the plugs both go into the front where the cooling fins are then it'll be MEFI3 on that age

If it's still a problem, I'd quite happily take a look. We live near Cheltenham but ski down at OWSC and Reading weekly so could pop in on the way down/up from one of those lakes.
100% change the damper plate if you take the trans out, I used an R&D plate from ASAP Supplies on mine...

Mefiburn do a diagnostic cable & software package for around $200, it sounds like you've checked all the basics, it would now be worth logging the data while repeating the problem. you may find an errant reading or voltage spike etc on a sensor. it would also be worth checking the timing while replicating...

robadele the earlier tbi engines ran at a lower pressure circa 30psi so it's bang on for the era

no, it would sound like a bag of bolts being rattled if the springs had gone.
Levels need to be checked when running so if it's "bang on" when off, it may be too low when running.
If you have a pressure gauge, whip out the temp sender on the gearbox and use an adaptor...

1997 should MEFI2 not 1.
Do you get the engine check light come on prior to starting (ign on, engine off)? mine was never connected from the factory!
Other than what you've already checked:
using a multimeter, check the ICM is working correctly
Check base...

My 96 was rock solid at 180 no matter what I threw at it, my 14 goes up and down, heatsoaks and after 6-8 slogs down the course at 36, it needs a few minutes fast idle to cool it down from 200

They've already done it over the years and improved the wakes. From 78-88 prostar/skier etc were 80/82" wide, 19' long & ~2200lb, then they have gradually increased to 96" wide, 20' long & 3000lb
But also, while the older Indmar were circa 600lb, the current Ilmor engines...
