Is it just any of the generic GM ones such as these (guessing so since it says fits Medallion)?

Yeah I’ve managed to get the lense off and am ready to desolder the main pins. Do either of you guys know where to get replacement steppers? Not the easiest thing to come by in New Zealand, so I’m gonna have to buy them online in the states I’m guessing.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread. Did you ever have any success with this? I have a 01 xstar with the same fault and the price for a new gauge in New Zealand is through the roof (over $500!!). Keen to have a go at replacing the stepper instead!

2001 Xstar graphic
Hi All,
I am doing some work to my 2001 xStar that will involve removing the large side decal. Does anyone know where I can get replacements, or have a image I can get printed locally? I have looked all over the net, this forum and the dropbox site and...

I didn't get a pic out of the water, but got this one =). The duck board is surprisingly only about an inch under the water, but the front drops a fair bit. The below photo is the boat sitting with no ballast. When fully loaded, it sits on the first chine line in the white, below the black stripe (so...

Prop help - 2001 X Star - 3300lb ballast

I currently have a OJ 14x18 prop, and when running over 3000lb ballast and 4 people, the boat planes out, but takes a while. I would like to re prop the boat for a bit more pull out of the hole so I can carry a...

I just recently built a sealed box under the helm of a 01 xstar for a Kicker 12".
I could dig out the exact measurements if you like?

Thanks for the answers guys. I will double check the same volume levels are experienced with a CD (I was using Bluetooth which is what I usually play from. Cant remember the last time I used a CD)
If its the same, I will have a look into a line driver of some sort....or a EQ.

I got it all finished up last night and had a listen. I recon this should just about do it. Its a huge improvement over the old Alpine 10" 300w jobbie.
Ive put up a post about the small issue I now have with what I think is input voltage miss match so hopefully I can figure that...

Input voltages not high enough? Do I need a line driver?
Hi Guys, I have a bit of a technical question regarding the input wiring/voltages etc of my new system.
I have just install a new/rearranged set up (details below) and I am having to turn up all the gains on my amps to really high levels to get any decent volume. The sub amp is turned...

Got the sub in and the new amp wired in. Now just tidy up and tuning
Bit hard to see, but it is off the ground about 10mm for the carpet to breath

Wow that looks nice. Do you thinks that single sub is enough or do you still want more bass?
Heres some more progress. Should have it in the boat tomorrow.
