I replaced it with an M608 and a MW1 remote. The M608 bolts in the same slot as the CMD4. You will need a new extension cable for the remote. -
I boat on a river fed lake and I have had to change my prop 3 times while out on the water due to hitting woody debris. I absolutely wouldn't go out on my lake without a spare prop in the boat. You definitely do not need to compound that boat. You could do Finesse-It if it has light oxidation. Compounding and polishing removes gelcoat from your boat, so you only want to do it when it is truly needed. Your gelcoat is only so thick.
