Cutlass bearing question?
Would it ever be necessary to turn the shaft down to get the cutlass bearing to fit? Brother is looking at a boat that just had the tranny rebuilt, now there is a delay in water testing the boat because the owner says his mechanic needs to turn down the shaft to install new cutlass bearing. I wouldn't...

Anyone else listen to the Spraymakers podcast this season. I have found it very informative. I really appreciate the conversation between rossi and trent as they compare and contrast their opinions/views and approach to coaching. Excellent job of breaking down and explaining every segment of skiing...

I am glad someone is posting this. I noticed a few weekends ago when I put quite a few hours on my LT-1 with lots of stops and starts, every few times I would turn the key to start I would get nothing. Turn the key off and back on and starts straight away.
Replacing the ground cable is...

dry lubricants on the pulley's in the cradle helped quiet my vibo vertical lift. Try a dry silicone spray a few times during the season on all of the pulleys.

This is what I put in my 93 205 this past off season. For what it's worth I replaced my steering cable to reduce play in my steering but the real culprit was the helm which I then replaced.

Had in interesting first outing with the new helm. The Quick Connect on the steering cable was not completely snapped in. First pass behind the boat and i went...

There was a fit issue with the new helm. The new helm had a much shorter steering rod, which meant...

If you loosen the hose clamps on the fill hose at the tank you can rotate the tank out into the boat to work on and replace the sending unit. Might have to remove vent hose and fuel pump hoses also.

My fuel gauge was working intermittently and I just swapped out the fuel sender that was in it for one from ski-dim. I will know in about a week or so how well the new one works. Same engine and tank config as you in my 93 LT1.

Why does it need to be cut or loose as a precaution? On my 93 that wire is grounded to one of the bolts on the metal fuel filling port.

Disclaimer on my part: I am barely a 22 off skier at 30 mph so you are not that far behind me

I think the biggest part of "Never look down" is that your body movements follow your head movements. So you can kind of glimpse by moving your eyes but not so much that it creates a head and body movement. If you are looking down course or in some instances cross course you know where you...
