With an empty trailer I always use the brake lockout key on the side of the actuator. I hold it in place with a large magnet. Without it the trailer brakes lock up with even the slightest braking of the tow vehicle and the trailer bounces like a bull at a rodeo.

When I installed soffit on my dock I put 6 flush mount led lights in. So bright I installed a smart dimmer switch and can turn them on and o with my phone when approaching the dock at night. no pulling in a dark slip or leaving them on to draw bugs....

winter project has begun
Pulled the tranny and flywheel today chasing a fair size oil leak in the bilge. I the main seal gooddo you have to pull the motor to do an oil pan gasket? the damper plate needs replaced also....

I just repaired a glass in mine. Heated the bezel with a heat gun slowly to allow expansion of the metal then pulled off with leather gloves. Hot hot hot.

We don't have Dockstat but I have found lowering the port tab after putting it in reverse allows the boat to back up in a straight line. The key is to lower the tab AFTER putting it in reverse or it will retract upon entering reverse. Not as simple as Dockstar but just as effective. Just my opinion...

Found an old non-working spedo and salvaged the glass. All I will need to do is paint the border on the back of the glass this winter. Thanks for all of your suggestions....
