The lake gets lowered 20 feet every winter for flood storage. There is a lot of movement in the spring and fall, but not much in season. I had a service doing it, but it got pretty expensive. I might just need to suck it up and go back to it. I read that some of the tension is caused by not lowering...

Releasing Tension on Dock Wench Crank
My dock is a floating dock that is connected to the shore by cables at the shore-side corners of the dock. We let the dock out and bring it in with rising and lowering lake levels through winches attached to the cables. A couple of weeks ago, I was attempting to let the dock out. When I released the...Last edited by ATLX30; 12-05-2021, 08:55 AM.

I felt that way for 15 years too. We bought a Bennington earlier this year and love it. We bought it because it's better than our x-30 in choppy water, has more room to move to around, more comfortable and less chopped up for larger groups on sunset cruises, keeps the dogs off my MC seats, and I just...

I would definitely see if you can do it. I saw my 2015 X-30 in construction with my son, and it was a great experience.

Glad to hear you're going to be able to get back out on the water. That has to have been frustrating.

The site now shows that they are sold out. I was thinking of ordering one because the one I've got I can hardly get to lower. I need to hold the lever and have someone push the back of the seat hard.Last edited by ATLX30; 06-28-2021, 07:47 AM.

I've got a 2015 X-30 (can't believe it's that old already, but still love the boat), and I typically do all rear ballast full. Anyone experimented with listing the boat to the surf side a little, say 100% port 80% starboard when surfing port side? I read in another thread about someone doing that...

I need to check but I think the starting battery is lead acid. The deep cycle I just bought is a gel battery.

Dual Batteries
In a dual battery setup, should one battery be a starting battery and the other a dual cycle? I would assume so, but my manual is silent on this.

My wife has used that app for years to track our kids. It also alerts when one of their cell phones are low.

I was sorry to lose WaterSports Central when it moved to Nautique, but I have been very impressed by both the service and parts departments at Skier's Marine in Gainesville....

Looks like it fits in the garage like a glove. Congrats on the purchase. Great looking boat.
