ETX/CAT Help
I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but I am badly in need of a Indmar ETX/CAT, Port side for a 5.7L engine. I am scheduled to take my boat to Arkansas in just over a week and I have a busted exhaust manifold (port side). No one seems to have one available. Anyone out there happen to have one...

Update - I have to give credit to both Indmar and Bakes - both replied to my email with piping diagrams. Good job guys.

Indmar CAT Re-plumb kit
So, I bought the re-plumb kit from Bakes Marine for the Indmar EtxCAT. Supposedly, it is supposed to re-route the water such that the CATs don't overheat or get as hot. Great idea - unfortunately, there are zero (0) instructions, pipe diagrams, or even a parts list with the kit. Anyone have any experience...

08 X2 CEL and surge
This weekend my check engine light came on and the engine started to surge. Once I decided to head back to the dock, the engine wouldn't let me do over 20 mph. All gauges check out fine (oil pressure, temp, etc.). Any ideas? I thought about using a paper clip to pull the codes, but don't actually...

You can't beat drift diving in Cozumel. We stayed at Iberostar a few years back (before the hurricanes) and just did our dives out of their shop. It was our first dive in salt water and it was a great experience. Not really sure you can pick a bad spot in Cozumel.

Grab "The Book" on DVD. I just started Wakeboarding this year and i have already advanced beyond my friends because of the exercises and instruction from this DVD (probably has something to do with the fact that I can slalom and my friends can't - I think knowing how to slalom gives me an...

What type of racks are mounted on the horizontal bars on your tower? I have been looking for some of those......

Just stumbled upon this thread after a search. I noticed the same problem yesterday. I just had my MC serviced by the dealer and noticed with I "gun it" the oil pressure spikes around 80. Seem strange to me.

So what if it has the pitot tube? How would you "blow it out"? Is there a static vent that you could use to "blow it out"?

That's impressive. It looks like the prop deflected up and chewed up the glass...I am assuming that is not what happened because everything else seems to be in place.
I am becoming more convinced that I will (eventually) hit something and I should just accept it.

Switching to bronze?
So a friend of mine just spent a lot of money (~$4K) fixing his MC because he got out of the channel in a local lake. He found a couple of stumps and ended up having to replace his shaft and bell housing and he had to get some glass work done (the impact caused some stress fractures). He was running...

I think that you guys are assuming that everyone has as much experience and is as comfortable around water as most of you are. I wasn't necessiarly going to totally dismiss the kid or anything, I just want to make sure the parents (who don't have that much experience around water) to think thru their...

Ok, it seems the concensus is that the kid should go. I'm not worried about the baby having an accident or anything...life is too short to be anal about that type of stuff (i.e. it'll clean), but since we don't have kids and most of my friends are just beginning to have kids, I just didn't know what...

I should probably clarify the "lakehouse" comment...My friend and his wife are 26 (younger than me) and his father has a lakehouse. Their family just got the house last year and, so far, the largest boat to grace the docks has been a aluminum john boat with a Mariner 35 hp engine.

Friends wanting to bring babys...
Sorry guys...I have read several other treads (on this forum) about babys in the boat, but I sort of have a different situation. See what you think...
First of all, I just purchased my first MC (2001 X-Star). I am pretty excited and plan on getting a good coat of wax on her this weekend...
