pulled out the floor to pull out gas tank and clean. had lots of debris and water in the gas tank.needed to be done after 23 yrs. i believe that was the reason of the bogging down of the engine. also put a new altornator belt on. tomorrow she will get cleaned inside and out as well as new trailer lights....

4X4 is the way to go. i have had both and i will never go back to 4x2. as said above better to have it and not need it than do need it and not have it. i live in az and 10 miles of dirt road to the best lakes. is it needed no but does it help yes, plus i can put boat in pretty much any where i want...

obd port
does anyone know where the obd port is on a 1993 maristar? i do believe i have found it but the obd machine i have access to doesn't fit. do you need an adaptor for a lt1 engine? pics of said port would be appreciated if you have any! thanks and have a great day!!

lt1 engine bogs under load
i have a 1993 maristarl and after the boat runs for a few minutes the boat will serge under load and than not run right after that. i had the fuel filter replaced two week ago. the boat does not die or stall. i can shut it off and it will run well for a few minutes again and than it starts all over...

I'm having the same problem with the lt1 engine. Any luck on finding out what it is? Been in the shop twice and sensors have been replaced and still nothing has changed. So frustrating

I wish I had the funds to be pulling something heavier and new. This will do for the time being. Plus with 348 hrs on the motor she's got a lot of life left...

So I took the boat out to see if I could find the water leak. As it sat on the trailer in the water I could see the water starting to come in from under the engine. I'm pretty sure that it's the prop seal where it comes into the boat. Does that seem right? Also I after running the boat I put my hand...

There is a valve by the motor that is after the water pump. After I shut motor off and than water its dripping water from the same spot

Raw water pump
My question is if the boats running with the hose connected to it, while the water is on and before u start the boat should water be coming out the grate that sucks up the water from the lake. Tia

Thanks for all the help. I will try some of those things this weekend. I know it rained really hard and the boat was full of water underneath.i left plus in to see if it would leak out. Turns out it didn't leak out. Thinking it's either the muffler of raw water intake. Was taking on water when boat...
