Prop puller is a must! IMO. Eric at OJ is the ticket. They could not fix my stainless unfortunately but recommended an upgrade for my use and I had it within the week. Just call them and they will get you through it.

Thanks for the input.. I do agree with all of the above. Another prop was in the pipeline anyway to better handle added ballast. To be clear I was hoping to fix this one for a backup and because it was the original. OJ reported it is not repairable. Oh well, on the wall of shame it goes....

Prop damage.
Well, I found a Stump or rock yesterday. Really my fault for getting too shallow and luckily only at idle. I will contact OJ, but from anyones experience is this repairable seeing as its missing a piece? I hate to lose the stainless.2 Photos

I assume you are asking about the fuel sender. May i ask why you need to replace it? My former boat was a 99 sport, if it is not reading correctly there is an adjustment to them, or at least mine had one....

Thanks! Interesting, I knew I didn't see polished very often but just wasn't sure if that was an option to get or an upgrade later. I do know the all of the pieces have mastercraft stamped into them. I will see if I can get info from the PO and see if he had them replaced at some point....

I do not have a photo specifically of those but I will see what I can find in the gallery. And yes, fins, strut, prop, rudder and exhaust tips are all the same finish. If it is stainless then they are polished to a mirror finish....

Was this a factory option?
Just a random question for someone that may know... On my 2004 Xstar (that I have owned less than a year FWIW) all of the running gear is chromed. I would default to stainless but it appears chromed to me and all of it seems to be original even the prop. I began thinking about it as I am looking to...

Thank you. It has been a good one for me. I have no more use for it so it needs a new home....

Well folks, thank you for all of the feedback. I took a closer look this past weekend to see if there was any room to move. Sorry, forgot to get pics. It seems everything is tight, frame, supports, hinge, all of it. Walk-through panel is tight and square. Oddly enough the gap on the vertical frame member...

Think of it as a term of endearment. In the 4 to 5 months i have owned this lady (is that better?) I have grown quite fond of her. Hence the effort to clean up all of these little details that no one besides most on here would give a second thought to. Fortunately for me, and what I know of the history...
