Ours must be the older version with the big funky knob and without that inner grommet but that must be it!
maybe the new version isn't so good? We've not had any issues with ours moving or wobbling or anything.
We use it all the time, we're not supposed to go out without a spotter...

ah ok, sounds like the same tower
i had issues with the factory mirror wobbling after some time on the lake (where the arm mounted via the black knob on the tower on those two little pins) and it would always loosen on really long tows, so when it came time to replace it i just figured the even...

ah, it was a polk knockoff, i found some older mooba thread mentioning that. this would have been circa 2015 or so
for some reason in looking these up there was a shop owner in texas (maybe on wakeworld?) mentioning those older versions, apologies since it sounds like i have you two mixed...

so far all ive done is run them on the bench with some test speakers and subs and they seem plenty powerful - and going off of the dyno reviews online it seems theyre the real deal.
theyre not the MOST well built - the case and tuning screw stuff isnt as nice feeling as the marine JLs for example...

im probably one of the least audiophile types here, but faced with a (similar, though fewer tower speakers) setup on our boat (04 x9) heres what i did - with the main goal of eliminating noise (getting the grounds sorted out) and truly isolating the audio and boat batteries (it previously had two batteries...Last edited by ValveCoverGasket; 04-25-2022, 01:20 PM.
