These engines run relatively cool does anyone know what temp the alarm comes on at? you may just have air in the system. I had a faded tower powder coated once, it turned out good, just had to find a place with a large oven. I like the way these towers look, and powder coating isn't as durable as the aluminum finish. Make sure you post pictures if you do it

If it's fuel you would be able to smell it. I bet it's oil check the plugs and you might find one covered in oil, then compression check or leak down test the cylinders.

Nice!... I use the kids squirt gun. It's one of the big ones where you stick the tip in and pull the handle back to draw water. Then I typically blast Someone with cooler water

I would pull it out to do it right. You will want to check the inside structures before just adding a coat of fiberglass. Also re paint while it is out so it looks good

I went through this with my 09 x star. Why they switched tplastic is beyond me. But after being crossed threaded too many times and finally stripped. I thought I could replace it with a brass plug but no, it is nps... I think which is a straight thread which requires a seal at the end. The brass plugs...
