  • Wake washed out on one side until a fast reverse

2010 x45 with gosurfassist. Wake plate is stuck 90% up (need new lenco). When we go out, no matter how we weight the boat, wake washed out. Finally noticed that once we go in reverse fast, fixes it for rest of day. Nothing hanging when we go underneath. Any ideas what it could be? And sometimes...

What kind of tweaking was done? I've been spending months going back and forth with Ryan trying to get launch mode to actually retract fully, reinstalled the tabs even after being told it was due to 'binding', and still they won't retract from launch mode (but perfectly from regular surf mode). What...

  • The problem I've been having, after 1) initially built wrong and buttons didn't work and had to send back to GSA as I had one of the 'bad 30 wired wrong', and then 2) launch mode not retracting and being told my tabs were 'binding', but then reinstalled and totally loose at top and bottom and still...

Gauges or display works, but not both

Got boat reupholstered where they basically ripped everything out, and also at the same time they installed a GoSurfAssist. Afterwards, the gauges were dead. Spent $300 with dealer to be told I needed a new Viper, and then had another dealer charge me to come up with same diagnosis, so I went and...

  • I removed the pink stains on a boat that were popping up in various white areas for no reason by putting bleach GEL on a towel, and rubbing it onto the stains hard one very small area at a time, about the size of my fingertip. Let it stay for a while, rinse it off. It removed the stains and seemed...

I have a 2010 x45 with surf tabs, and we've enjoyed wakesurfing for years, only on the port side, with all tanks full and the front bags half full, port bag totally full, stbd bag empty. Never could get stbd to work due to prop direction. It even knows to pull up the tabs if I go too fast in the standard...

  • I would never recommending starting the boat on the trailer, with a dry impeller. And if you hook up the flush or somehow keep it from running dry, doubtful you'll be able to detect antifreeze in the outflow mix.

I'm thinking that you're filling the overflow, but the heat exchanger is...

  • First, add some antifreeze dye, or depending on antifreeze it may already be in there, and then use a blacklight to rule out any connections you can get to easily. Also fill on the trailer, and see if antifreeze comes out the exhaust. You may just be refilling the heat exchanger though, and then it...

  • Mastercraft by design has a few different light options, haven't seen all those from mastercraft, at least not last year. they have light pods listed at http://www.mastercraftbydesign.com/index_39.asp

  • Yup, the bulb is available on its own, very inexpensive. The kind you need to not touch or else even skin oil can make it burn out, so just be sure to install carefully, using the wrapper to hold it while installing it.

Also pretty funny that the MSRP for a replacement bulb is $200,...

  • mastercraft by design was really reasonable about addressing the issue with the spindle breaking, told me that they'd be happy to replace it, and sent the part to me right away, really did the right thing right away.

replied to X25 Tower Camera bent
My metal also kept bending, there never was a warning to not use for both wakesurfing as well as wakeboarding or tubing. and sure enough the nylon/plastic broke and the camera doesn't track. but MC doesn't know the part #, but does know that after 1 year the warranty is over, even with 3+3, so I've...

  • What do you mean about the nylon piece broke? Mine is also broken, and just was told there's only a 1 year warranty on that? I think because the metal piece goes up and down so frequently, depending on length of rope/angle, it puts alot of stress on that nylon. So far, MC can't even find the part...

  • I just got blown away to be told that the tower lights only have a 1 year warranty. The first season I barely used the tower lights, and the 2nd year used them probably another 15 minutes. Then one day, two of the 4 bulbs were burned out. I have to think that the boat had a power surge or the cans...

  • I suspect the blacklight won't help, because if its in the exhaust, which would account for the white smoke, its leaking into the exhaust gases, not into the engine compartment. Check your gaskets where antifreeze and exhaust gases would be near each other.

    Since you made this boat...
