You can install the gator step directly on the non-slip fiberglass. (Diamond pattern on floor) that is what I did. I went with the lus from a 6plus. Tried and true and was able to use the same case! The X has its gimmicks, but as others have noted, I prefer reliability, and in case of an accident, cheaper repair. Also 8 is on sale with several carriers right now.

Locally you can try Facebook and craigslist. We found much of our gear around Lexington that way. There is a second hand sports store off in the Columbiana shopping center that has some stuff, Goodwill and the flea markets sometimes has some great finds too. Good luck with your hunting.

Dusting off this thread. My Port side nav light is in operable on my 07 Xstar. I've checked the lines going to it with a multimeter and know its got 12 volts, so I assume the lights bad.

We ski on Murray here in Columbia. There’s some nice camp grounds toward the north of the lake. Dreher island is a cool State park with great camping and a marina. The main channel can get pretty choppy, but there’s plenty of good coves to keep you busy.
