Airtex E2044 on my 07 MCX. I’d recommend going ahead with the extra $50 or so and getting the Oetiker clamps and pincer. It’s too much of a job to get it all together and have a pressure loss because the worm clamps fail to seal around where you have to make the hose tight around the smaller...

Reliable Hub Oil Plug
Anyone have any luck with a replacement for the brass plug in the old Reliable hubs? Size, thread, source, etc.? One of mine is stripped out. Not ready to replace the entire hub/ rotor/ caliper setup just yet, especially not over a stripped plug.
Thanks
Edit: Searched...

My money is on the manifold like Spooky said. Been there. This thread has some good info on cracked manifolds and the replumb kit.

This happened to me when I had a slit in the J hose between the raw water and circulating pumps. Eventually ran hard enough back to the dock to overheat the exhaust and melted the fittings, which melted both cats. Fortunately still had water running through the block. Check all hoses and clamps!...

Gasket is 551004.
This is for the MCX. I assume they’re all the same. Don’t forget Permatex gasket maker

89 in my MCX with 1 oz/ 10 gal of Stabil marine each full up. Manual says ethanol is fine for my ‘07 and that’s all I use. If there’s non-ethanol sold in North Mississippi I don’t know where.

I put anti-seize on all my tower bolts when I first bought it. Works fine, but at the time I had to fold the tower down every trip for storage and constantly got anti seize on the seats, clothes, etc. Tough to get out.
After the first season I bought Ultra Tef Gel. Cleaned all the anti...

Technically you don't need a metal one, but it's pretty much good for life. I haven't researched it much, but apparently they had enough failures to warrant the metal upgrade. As far as the re-plumb, I want to say it had more to do with the exhaust manifolds overheating, not the engine. You'd likely...

Replace the J hose with the metal one if not done so. Do some searching for MCX hose re-routing and make sure it’s done. Strongly recommend replacing all hoses while your upside down on your head the first time. You won’t regret it.

I used 1/2" seaboard HDPE from Amazon. Cut with a jigsaw and matched the holes, then epoxied to the existing plastic.
If I had enough bunk carpet left over, I would have gotten a thick piece to replace them altogether, but I was able to re-wrap the carpet around after epoxying the...

Happened to me. Molded lead frame. tsb13-06-08
Tried to take off at a green light and it acted like the throttle was just not responding. I didn’t realize it, but it was trying to take off in 5th gear. In the middle of the intersection turning left it finally downshifted with a thunk...

I'd try a come-along or ratchet strap with a welder as a backup plan. My '07 was similar when I bought it. The dealer (RV dealer got on a trade-in) was supposed to straighten it up as part of the deal. When I picked it up, the guide was straight, but hanging on by a thread. They just pulled it and...

Ours stays on the swim platform trailering and transporting on the water. For trailering, I use 2 ratchet straps from the transom hooks around to the bottom of the platform and hook onto the brackets. Just need enough tension to squeeze the rolled up mat a little and it'll ride. Make sure to put...
