1992 ProStar 190
For sale: 1992 ProStar 190. It’s got the high output engine (285hp) and powerslot transmission. 873 hours.

About to dig in to installing a heater on my ‘92 Prostar 190. I think this is the spot to mount the core—lag bolt into these? Based on the spacing I think I’ll need to attach a treated board to the boat and then mount the heater to the board, as I’m in installing a three vent heater and it’s...

Glad to hear you were able to get most of the issue ironed out. With your timeline, maybe having your current carb rebuilt by Peter would work out. And definitely replace that fuel line!

2010 Sequoia here. Love it. Only regular maintenance needed in 117k miles so far. I had bad luck with two full size GM SUV's before going Toyota and would be reluctant to go back, even though I'd like the truck to be a bit longer. I'm hoping with the redesign of the Tundra the Sequoia gets an XL...

That's the oil I initially planned to use and I think quite a few people use, but others recommend Rotella. Rotella is easier to find and cheaper so that's the way I went....

None of the stuff that needed work was corrosion related. Pitot tube was broken, fuel sender failed (as they all seem to do), fiberglass muffler cracked (as the all seem to do), drain plug must have been left in all the time by the prior owner. All good now!...

More progress!
After spending more time eyeballing the strut, I realized that the strut on the boat was in fact bent. I removed the old strut, which was a pretty easy process. I did not pull the drive shaft, just removed the bolts on the coupler and let it be free. With a bit of heat...
