As WL said, the mufflers. I had a 2000 that had both mufflers cracking where the exhaust hose met them. I fixed with a fiberglass repair kit and no more excess water in the bilge.

I went extremely easy and cheap on my old sled. PVC over the pylon, t-connection to a smaller OD pipe over the dog house to another t-connection, from there it was two 90's to the floor. Worked very well for my needs.

We are 100% MI boaters. I spoke with the marine sheriff on our lake (Coldwater, near IN), and he said that every person in the boat needs to have a USCG approved device in the boat. He said device because some cushions actually count. My wife and I ski / board / surf in comp vests. In addition,...

I ride a 67” Katana with prime boots and love it. Although I am 5’10”, 175. I have suggested the butter knife many times here and from what I’ve heard they are an easy ski to ride. I can check with Action Watersports tomorrow at the boat show for suggestions if you’d like.

What notice does the boat give to an improper winterization?
I hope that I never find this out personally, but what are the signs of an improperly winterized boat specific to the motor? I remember reading a thread where the member wrote the boat ran fine until he checked the milky oil and knew something was wrong. Any steps in the first water test of the year...
