How to RESET gen2 surf tabs?

My new Star is working done but I noticed also with my X23 that After some usage the tabs are not raising anymore to the same height. With my star the port side is lower by 1-2Ē in the most raised position compared to the starboard side. I know that I am not the only one experiencing this, but I have no idea how to reset the port side tab so that it would raise to the same position as the other side.

Any ideas or even better if someone really knows how to do this please share.

I had an issue with my X25 on this. Dealer said they knew about it and they fixed it. Not sure how though. Sorry.

My dealer told me it's a known issue. The easy way to remedy the problem, until the next time, is to briefly go into reverse. It's supposed to zero the tabs for some reason.

Can you adjust the tabs manually? On my 13 xstar I reset mine by pushing the manual adjustment to 0 then continuing to hold it for a few extra seconds. Mine will start to deploy throughout the day (boat will say they are at 0 but getting in the water and checking I would find that they were down a few inches or more.
What I found that caused this was bumping it in reverse picking up riders. This causes the tabs to start to retract and then go back to where they were set. But each time they end up a little off.
Fixes:
1. Donít go in reverse. ( not always possible)
2. Reset the tabs by raising them back to zero and continuing to hold up button. (Donít know if your boat has this ability)
3. Find a way to keep tabs from moving when switching into reverse. (Wish mc would program a delay of a few seconds so if you just need to bump it in reverse the tabs wouldnít move. I understand why itís done this way, they donít want someone going fast in reverse with the tabs down.

I've had similar issues on my 2019 X-Star. The actual tab position becomes out of sync with what the computer thinks it is. My dealer is currently putting new actuators on my boat. He said that with these big heavy boats (X24 and X-Star) MC is learning that they need stronger actuators. We'll see.

I have also heard that going into reverse can help zero out your tabs.

Thanks for your responses. I will try reversing, but I do not see how that will do anything else but retract them back to what the computer thinks is zero? I have not tried holding the manual tabs button longer though.

I've been suspecting this behaviour too, especially when doing transfers. I'm pretty sure on my 2014X46 the tabs are fully retracted when you turn the engine off, which is why we do that when we change riders.
Also pushing the "UP" Button first retracts the center tab and then the stbd/port tabs simultaniously until you release the button.
The Lenco's obviously have no position sensors, I have never investigated further if the position is measured by timing alone or electric load measurement/comparison.

I will need to contact the dealer who needs to contact MC to get clear instructions how to remedy this. My friend had to disconnect the lenco wiring and that way get the actuator that was lower to raise up to the real 0 position.
