    Barefoot Booms

I have a 03 X-30 and I'm looking to get a barefoot boom. The boat is currently slipped on Lake Lewisville. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Tower vs Pylon Booms, as well as storing them in the boat and putting them up from inside the boat while you're on the water. (or if thats even possible) I'm in the very beginning of my research so any advice/pictures/stories would be appreciated.

I can't speak to tower booms but I keep my pylon boom on the boat (X9) all the time. Fits in the rear storage easily. Might not be the same story for v drive

Pylon booms are easy to put on while on the water. I store mine in my boat at all times. Half goes in the port side storage area and the other half goes on the starboard.

Tower boom? My only experience was a few weeks ago and I only footed it.
If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

Take a look at my boat which is for sale. It is the same hull. The previous owner had 2 custom brackets installed in front of my windshield an then the barefoot boom just slides through it with a pin to hold it in. I'll try and see if I can find a couple of pictures with the boom installed. It works great and it's out of the way.

That does look very nice. If you find the pictures with boom installed please send a PM.

Do you remember the company that the put that in or was it custom?

We bought a tower boom for are same boat fits great. Store it in the drivers side pocket.

It has 3 quick release pins and can be done solo but 2 people help.

Pictures would be very nice indeed. Just to be clear, you're able to install your tower boom completely from inside the boat?

^This. I had a pylon mounted boom on my '03 230 VRS and the spray was always in my face.
                        Add a 5 foot handle/line and it's even worse.
                        I was njskier on here.

No problem, but that picture is not my boat or boom. That is me footing beside my buddies "new to him" 04 X2. He picked that boom up from another buddy who had it on his old Nautique. When I did buy my contour boom for my direct drive 205, I found it on Ebay.

My set up... I know it doesn't count for what you need to do, but threads are worthless without pictures.
