'15 X30 - Rear Locker Dimensions?

Thanks to TT's input, especially Tassie and MM, I can confirm the Fly High 1100 bags not only fit into the lockers even when full, but it also creates tremendous wakes in the X30.

Mellow setting at 11 mph below.



I have yet to do the MM rear locker modifications of removing the aft carpeted section, moving the pumps, and modifying/upgrading the rear pumps to Jabsco Ballst Kings, but will do so later on a bad weather day. In addition to decreasing rear ballast fill times below my current 11 minutes or so, it would permit the rear bags to move a good 3-5" towards the transom.

Below is shot looking at transom with carpeted vertical section removed, you can see the angled impression on the tank carpet where the vertical vertical section was located prior to removal.

Thanks for the update and reviving this thread, I forgot that I took a couple pics of the locker mod. and pump move.

The first and third pic show the aluminum bracket (really just a piece of aluminum bar that I bent to match the curve of the transom) which is mounted to the backside of the transom, it utilizes the existing bolts from the grab handle/tow point on the transom to hold it in place. To that, I pressed in some threaded studs which are used to mount the pump... that way if I ever have to remove them I don't need to try and get two wrenches on a nut/bolt. I removed the 90 degree plastic fittings on the pumps and mounted the hose directly to the pump housing which it is designed for, although I had to grind down the casting marks so the hose would seal.

The second pic is the locker mod. took out the rear bulkhead, cut off some of the long bolts sticking in and carpeted over the remaining nuts and raw fiberglass to protect the bag.

For port surfers what are people using as tab settings? Curious to try new options.

Stock setting for steep is pretty good. For uber steep I usually throw a 750 on the floor in front of the flip seat.

After seeing this tonight I just canceled my order of 820's in favor of some 1100's. I'm thinking of repurposing the stock bags under the front seats.

Has anyone upgraded the pumps to the Kings? I know they draw more current so i'm assuming a rewire is necessary - Any confirmation?
