I have replaced the black pigtail connection and still have the same intermittent issue where the engine cuts out. Jiggle the connection and it starts backup. Must be the the yellow component right?

Any idea where I can buy JUST the yellow piece?

2002 X30 330 LTR

Thanks!

Stabilant 22 Electrical Contact Enhancer

You could try Stabilant 22. Available online, I think Napa may have it also.

It's working for me so far.

If mine acts up again, I'm going to solder on a new metripack male to the fuel pump module connector (or use a Molex female and male instead of the metripack connectors).

I also eliminated the metripack quick connectors in the harness from the rear of the engine and near the fuel pump since I have had problems with those as well in the past. They are great for ease of assembly at the factory, but they have been a problem in many boats causing people to replace good fuel pumps thinking they were the problem.

It's not that the connectors are under rated or overloaded, they just seem to be an intermittent problem on a mission critical component, the fuel pump.

Found my harness melted.
Turned to the forum for assistance and found this thread. Would like to replace both sides of the harness (yellow and black). Links are no longer valid since the thread (and my boat) are so old.
Anyone have part numbers for the two parts?
Appreciate it!

Boat is a 06 x45 w 8.1L.

WWND, did you get any answers back on your question? I have a 2005 X10 with MCX that just did the same thing on the boat side connector.

Thanks

Rob

You might try something like this and just replace the whole yellow connector.

Be sure to read the comments section if you purchase.

Does anyone have part numbers for this yellow connector/harness? And for that matter, a replacement pump for the in tank fuel pump module? Boat hasn't been started in 2.5 years. Engine cranks, but fuel pump won't prime at Key ON. Tracing electrical, I'm getting 12.67 volts when I put the multimeter on the hot and ground on the female side of this yellow connector after jumping the relays, and tried powering the pump directly as well, but still won't prime.

There is no continuity on the male end of this connector, so would seem to suggest that:
a) wiring issue somewhere from yellow connector to the pump; or
b) the fuel pump itself is shot.

I was going to order a new yellow harness and new pump/in tank filter and replace it all. I'm located in the middle east, so no reliable autozone/napa to be sure I'm getting the right parts. Way easier to order from stateside.

Thanks all.

These are buried in the Fuel Pump 101 thread:

harness: https://www.racetronix.biz/k/fl98-f7...ly/bcwa-fl98hd

Yellow connector only: https://www.racetronix.biz/p/fs-bulk...y-4-way/bca-4w
