    Vacation ideas November

    Hi all,

Once again it’s vacation time for me and my girlfriend in November (without kiddos)

Warm location, pool, beach, maybe boating or jet skiing, quad or Jeep excursion all possibilities. Got ideas?

Already did Punta Cana, Riviera Maya, Miami, Key West before.
    Thinking southwest maybe? California?

Where have you gone that leaves you great memories?

She’s so awesome, I want to treat her to someplace nice.

    Thanks in advance

I'd steer clear of punta cana and jamaica where you're a virtual prisoner of the resort unless you're on an organized tour.

Try Cozumel, a la carte. Cheap, tons of activities. Great restaurants. Amazing service. I can't recommend this island enough. I can give you all the detail you'd need offline.

If I can also give you another tip, be careful traveling into December, you don't want to get caught by el Norte, its miserable.

Maui. Check Costco Travel for good prices. I was there in November two years ago it was amazing. There are so many things to do. Helicopter rides, biking down a mountain, hiking, road to Hana, waterfalls, ATV adventures, Jeep trips, Haleakala crater, beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, some of the best restaurants on the planet, oh yeah surfing, snorkeling so much to do. Its far but its amazing.

Maui is amazing, and has personality but pricey.

TnC has gorgeous beaches but zero personality and makes Maui and Cayman look cheap.

Grand Cayman also has gorgeous beaches and zero personality, a bit pricey.

Cozumel, only good beach is San Francisco beach and has tons of personality (and affordable).

If cerveza and fun are on the menu, Cabo. The crowd is young and wild and the place is beautiful desert SW. If culture, beauty and charm are your wants, Zihuatanejo. Jungle, rugged and incredible in November. Great surf culture north of Z in Troncones/Saladita areas. Laid back area. 80 degree water year round.

If Mexico is your choice, don't do AI.

moab was the first thing that popped to mind for me.

not sure how warm it is in nov. but ive been in early summer and it was a blast. rafting, mountain biking, hiking, couple days in a jeep, incredible scenery. and all relatively reasonably priced too.

I agree with slalomjunkie, Cozumel is a great vacation, my wife and I have been going for over 20 years sometimes twice a year.

Mrs SlalomJunkie has now been 9 times with me, I've been close to 20 times over the last 29 yrs - I NEVER get tired of it. And yes, we have been twice in the same year as well.

December 2017 - no scuba, thanks, El Norte!
