This looks like the lowest pricing on the market. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...AFT-X20-703415 but it doesn't have the touch screen so that's $5k less

That's my orange X20 I have dropped the price like crazy for the 6.0 and a fairly optioned boat that thing should be long gone but I have only had like one person even call.

I just don't get why they put small engines in these boat.

MC should go with strictly with the 6.2 and 7.4 and lower the cost of the two. It would help the re sale so much more.

What makes you think Mastercraft is concerned about resale value when they are in the business to sell NEW boats.

Educated guess, very low $70k's if you wait until spring comes. This is a beautiful boat, with timeless colors that will appeal to most. Agree with others who have suggested your biggest issues will be the 5.7 and demand that seems comparatively lower for the X20 vs. most other MC models.

Aric - have you driven this boat? I have to disagree. The hull/weight of the X20 really demands more. It's not just about the length, this is a heavy S.O.B. that easily needs more power than an X10 and I'd argue more than an X30/XT23 due to the hull difference. This is no ordinary 20 footer.

This is a ridiculous statement. Just like the automakers, good boat makers are concerned about resale.

Jbaker, I have. The triple tab auto launch is amazing. I absolutely despise boats with the 2.1 trans thought, so insanely loud!

I own one of those heavy X20s with a 5.7. Never had an issue even when fully loaded with lots of adults.

I have had 6 full size guys and full ballast and had no problem surfing. There 12 people sticker really averages out to about 12 130lb people. Yes I agree a bigger engine would be better but unless you plan on everyday maxing your boat out on its full ballast and full weight limit I don't see any problems. I know the oversized surf prop probably really helps keep it moving.

the few videos I have seen of this boat have a Lot of engine noise and High sound revs...
Im sure the motor can handle it...But that noise.

I would want max ++ Ballast for Surfing , and typically like to ride over 11mph...I wander how a 5.7 would do 1000lbs over GEN2 stock>?

From my experience adding more ballast over stock doesn't improve the surf wave on this boat (if anything it makes it washy). A larger engine would be nice, but definately not nessesary.

At first I didn't like the sound of the higher rpm engine noise, but you get used to it. Now I don't even notice it. I wouldn't say it is louder than another boat, just a higher pitched sound.
