If these prices continue, I am going to list my X25 in August.

I hear that, Iíve thought long and hard about selling mine, but it would mean a year off of boating for me, because while Iím willing to sell high, I just canít bring myself to buy high.

And unlike many here, IDC one bit about resale value ó I buy the boat for the enjoyment, with plans to hold for several years ó if I bought something in todayís market, it would be less than what I have now for the same or more $$$ and hard to justify the cost per enjoyment.

Iím content with what I have and unless they invent some whole new type of boating experience that I canít get with my X25, hope to be content with it for several years.

óSky

Howdy all, here's a new post in these parts, looks pretty clean, and it's a fresh water boat. This will make someone happy this summer

If you're going to list your boat, keep in mind the market will only work for you if you are downsizing. Same with houses and cars in most parts of the country. If you're moving up, you're paying up.

I'm planning to sell a car this summer and replacing it with one from another family member so I'll be able to take advantage of the used car market.

Boat upgrade has been crossed off my list for 2022 for sure, maybe longer......

For the most part this is true. But there are still some boats getting listed for close to pre-covid rates. There are a handful of sellers who either haven't been paying attention or don't feel good about the price gouging. But you have to be prepared to act fast.

If anyone needs proof that buyers are sustaining the current market, check this ad out. 2002 SANTE for $35k, and the seller says he has so many people lined up to look at it he's no long accepting new inquiries. This boat was selling for low-20s pre-covid?

The question is: Is he asking $6,750, or is that what he's willing to pay someone to take it?
