About the hour meter, if he replaced the gauge would the hour meter read the actual motor hours or start at 0 after the installation?
If he replaced the gauge itself the hours would still remain. The only reason that the hours would be reset would have to do with the computer being replaced. At least this is how my boat is. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

This is incorrect, my boat had 650 hours when I bought it and I put in Feria manual gauges and it no longer reads those same hours

Did they come with mechanical gauges from the factory?

Point is moot? Boat is sitting. Laptop and a connection to the ECM could tell the story.
