Apparently my 08 X30 that was totaled is up for auction...again...with clear title?

THIS IS MY BOAT!!!!!!! Well, it was my boat before it caught on fire!!!!!! The insurance company totaled it out and someone bought it off an auction in early November of this year. I would be shocked it all of the wiring harnasses were replaced already but it's possible. Any idea if this would have a clear title if it was totaled by the insurance co? I would think it would be a salvage title. I'd be careful on this one... and I did leave the poles in the boat for the cover FWIW.

The auction shows 'Titled', not 'clear title'.

Title status says CLEAR. If somebody wants to take a chance on it...they certainly cleaned it up well

Boats don’t get salvage titles I thought?

No idea...maybe not. I guess a seller doesn't have to disclose prior damage and there's no BoatFax that I'm aware of...

There actually are numerous boat Hull ID check websites, even one called BOATFAX.
I have used the Boat History Report website before, it was a good site to check a boat out from.

They certainly cleaned your old boat up well. I did not see any pictures of your old boat in it's damaged state. It does look like a boat that has not had any damage to it now.

you can try and find my original post when it caught fire, quite a few pics but the only real damage was all the burnt harnesses under the middle back seat - so no damage detectable anywhere else. And the salvage yard left the boat uncovered outside for a few weeks before the auction - friend went to look at it and said it was just a mess inside with tons of water, leaves, dirt etc. They did an amazing job cleaning it up I have to say. I'm a bit shocked they got all the new wiring in this quickly - my bet is they spliced the new ones in, would seem to be quicker and easier than running all new wiring throughout the boat. But then again, I know nothing about this stuff. Just closed on my "new" boat about an hour ago!

Thanks for the old post link. That looks like it was quite a scary ordeal. Congrats on your new Holiday boat purchase.
