Cow Creek on Lake Travis is a pretty awesome spot to tie off, across the lake from Pace Bend Park

Where is that in relation to Point Venture? That is the only place I have been at Lake Travis.

Well Travis can fluctuate quite a bit, but at full pool, it was 40'

ok ya that is a haul from point venture by boat, It is actually closer and easier to get to then point venture on that side of the lake unless there is ramps on the south side of the lake? We went to point venture couple of years ago and there was a good sand bar there but right on the open lake. Me coming from the south it was a haul to drive around the entire lake.

Cow creek area will be easier for our friends from the north to get to also.

Is there boat ramps near there? I am sure there is plenty of VRBO's in that area?

Anything Lago Vista is near, The Island has a few rentals

Pace Bend has a ramp on the south side of the lake, right where you see the park on the map.

Pace Bend has 2 Ramps, one North and one south

Most Important, That end of the Lake is MUCH MUCH Smoother as you can head down to the Colorado and go for Miles. If you are into Wakeboarding/Surfing as I suspect we "should be"..

I'm a wakeboarder, but the budget is firmly in old "ProStar or S&S" territory...and for some reason everyone around here thinks their old boat is worth its weight in gold. I guess we'll see. Check out my recent post in the "What's this worth" section to see one such example haha.

But yeah, fingers crossed for us both
