Need size of STOCK tanks for 2016 GenII-x30 for surf config?

OK, this has probably been answered somewhere - but I can seem to find a consistent answer.

What size and are the STOCK tanks in the 2016 Gen II ballast for the x30? Then what number do you use per gallon to calculate pounds?

Keel -
Starboard and port back hard tanks -
Starboard and port back soft tanks -

Reading and digging through lots of good information on this forum. Trying to come up with a good surf setting. I was using all tanks full - and dropping the tab on the opposite side we would ski on. Happy with output, however we added a wake shaper and WOW what a difference took what we had and added about 5 feet!!

Now I have been reading to run all tanks empty except the side you are going to be on. Crazy - anyone tried that?

Thanks in advance!!

Don't know tank size but water weighs 8.33 pounds per gallon.

Gen2 is 1920 lbs. 710 on each side, 500 in the middle. The purpose of the Gen2 system was to take the guessing out of it. Weight the boat evenly and deploy opposite side tab, middle also for port side surfing.

Just a heads up, these numbers include the bags that sit on top of the tanks at the back. So if you are looking for the weight of just the tank, subtract I believe 400, hopefully someone can confirm.

I was pretty sure they were 400 lb bags but not 100%. That's prolly about right.

(not triggered) LOL.

Do you have pics with and without the wake shaper?

I agree! after lots of testing. I have a 2017 XT23 basically same thing.

With no extra weight and not many people in the boat I wasn't getting any push. I tried letting water out of starboard and putting that tab down more( i surf normal side) and all kinds of things.

What I found out also is make sure your tab is deploying, you might have a bad actuator and it might say 65% but actually be at 75% or more who knows. I have had mine replaced one all ready and they might be be going out again.

This is what is working for me right now with stock ballast full!! Left steep setting which should be 30% and 65%. Once in motion or preset if you have the big screen, set them to 0% center tab and 50% starboard and I get a really huge wave with only 2 adults. I go about 10.3 to 10.6 mph. If I have the boat full of people then the stock preset works fine.

angle of pic not great but only two adults in the boat and I have my son on the board. I am pretty far back as well.

Thanks for the information.

So we have 710 per side / 400 / 310 and 500 for the keel. 1920 total. That is what I was looking for.

I was wanting to run some test this weekend with some different configs.

I'll get some pics for your all and let you know what is the best set up.

Again - goofy side my setting:
All tanks 100%
Port tab 100
Center tab 10
Starboard tab 0
Wake shaper on opposite side

Going to try - taking the center tank down to 50 and the port side tank between 50 and 0. Also with less tabs (75 and 50%).

We will see!!

Mastercraft talks about having "4 zones" for surfing. I feel I get 1 and 2 - but want 3 and 4.

In my head the bags were 400 or the tanks were 400, so if you were thinking 400 for bags, we're probably right; that was my inclination as well.
