New Boat Journey Begins

With the boat market being the way it is- Im sure all of us who have been boat shopping can agree that when you find the right boat- you just got to make it happen.

Its a long story leading up to this- but the journey begins today. First step, leaving my little town and flying about 3,000 miles to the other side of the country.

Safe travels and safe hauling! We just did 1,400 miles roundtrip (MI to MN) for our new boat, everything went well besides Chicago traffic at 10:00pm in construction with two crying kids under 4 years old! Enjoy and take your time

Enjoy the trip! I'll wave when you fly over West Michigan...

PS) Hopefully this is Mr. Obvious speaking, but before you hook up and head out, make sure you've talked to your insurance agent and have the boat added to your policy. I've heard of folks adding it afterwards, but man I'd feel terrible hearing someone have an incident heading home.

Must be a good woman or a good boat to make that kinda effort.

Congrats and enjoy the journey MM. Look forward to seeing you aboard.

Day 2: first order of business is to secure a proper tow vehicle. If you have been truck shopping recently, you know the truck market is almost as crazy as the boat market- so I felt lucky to find this one owner, low-mileage, dealer serviced rig; for what I feel like is a very fair price.

Its even got the heated and cooled seats, which should be nice for the long drive- much better than hauling it home in a U-Haul for sure.

It will go up for sale once I get home, but for now- this is my home on wheels.
