ith the boat market being the way it is- Iím sure all of us who have been boat shopping can agree that when you find the right boat- you just got to make it happen.

Itís a long story leading up to this- but the journey begins today. First step, leaving my little town and flying about 3,000 miles to the other side of the country.
I agree totally. I bought my boat in Orlando and trailered it back to Massachusetts a few weeks ago.

If you need anything while your out this way, let me know. I am about an hour or so away from boston. Drop me a PM and I will give you my #

Thanks to everyone for the well wish.
Slvrblt- thank you for the offer- I appreciate it.

Hopefully nothing goes wrong!

I like to be prepared, so yeah, the boat and truck are insured (actually added extra coverage for the trip)

I pre-ordered some stuff that I didnít want to pack and had it delivered out here:hitch, rock-tamers, tool kit, tire irons, etc- then packed stuff like tire pressure gauge, IR thermometer, ratchet straps...

Truck is just outside of Boston- but Iíll be heading North once I get the paperwork done.

I was worried about that too, I think Iím going to try and go a little south to avoid Chicago. I had another friend of mine say the same thing about his trip from Pittsburg back.

I left the wife and kids at home for this one- canít imagine a 40 hour drive with my kids (2 and 4 year olds). Instead, I have a buddy flying in that I have to pick up along the way.

Safe travels and good luck! I live in VT and have lived in PC Utah. You have some work cut out in front of you. Totally doable! Slow and steady wins the race. What did you get?

Omg... you bought a truck to tow it home and sell it. That is awesome!!!!!

Can’t wait to see it. I’m sure I know what it is but I’ll keep my guesses to myself.

This is a Fun story to follow.

Reminds me of my trip from Burlington, VT to Tucson with an X25 in tow including stops at the Albany Airport and White Sands National Monument. Talk about getting strange looks...

Itís even got the heated and cooled seats, which should be nice for the long drive- much better than hauling it home in a U-Haul for sure.

It will go up for sale once I get home, but for now- this is my home on wheels.
I love stories like this.

If you need any assistance as you travel across Iowa or Nebraska, let me know.
