I had it in the secured underground garage of an office building complex I'm selling in Walnut Creek.

They hit the copper one day and took inventory. Then they came back and stole all the commercial kitchen fixtures from one building and my boat from another.

It happened sometime between March 4, the last time I saw it and April 13th. I just noticed it was gone on this Wednesday. Property management said they last walked the building April 13th and saw it wasn't there but thought it had just been taken out for the season.

I'll keep an eye out for it, I live near walnut creek and boat up at the delta often. Definitely a unique boat! sorry for you loss, theft is rampant right now in the bay area unfortunately :-(

So that leaves me with the question of what to get next. I'll never be able to recreate/replace this boat which was my baby. Bigger than a tournament boat but no tower and without the massive gunwales of modern boats. Thoughts? I know I'll need to spend a lot more money to get anything that makes me half as happy as this boat did.

The 214 is the replacement but sometimes can be hard to find. It'll be quite a bit more money now with the price of boats what it is these days. I'd be getting current comps of your previous boat to show the insurance company or at least make sure you're getting the agreed on value of the boat if you had that in your insurance policy. Something BTW that most people are not looking at with their current policies and the rate that boat prices are going up.

Depending on what you're looking at there are other brands out there as well you may want to consider during these trying times as you look for a replacement. As terrible as it sounds unless you're willing to spend up or go without for a season casting a wider net for that next boat may be your only option.

That's absolutely heartbreaking to hear, sorry for your loss.

It's going to be tough to find another 209 like yours. You might find one but it's going to take a lot of patience, especially a super clean Sammy D with a tandem trailer, no tower, awesome colors, etc.
