2019 software and Klipsch system..... you asked, they answered.

Anyone with a 2018 that is disappointed with the volume levels from their Klipsch system will want to update ASAP. System is MUCH louder, and still retains clarity. Also, no more limitations on tower speakers. I have the pods, so mine haven’t been too bad since day one....... but they are twice as loud now.

The system is definitely louder than I need it now. What a difference.....

Could still use more Bass

My X23 is at the dealer right now for stereo concerns and a few other electrical gremlins. I will be calling there this morning to see if they can update the software if they have it already. Would this update be coming to dealers from MC or Klipsch??

I am stopping in today. Is it just a Klipsch upgrade, or is it all the software. I want to make sure I have the latest and greatest.

It’s the software for both touch screens. It addresses a lot of other issues as well, like the zero volt reading, usb connectivity, and some other glitches that some folks have experienced. Dealers have access to it now. It’s the 2019 model software.

There is a new feature coming as well, called “spark”. But I don’t know what it is. It shows up in the settings menu now, but says “coming fall 2018”

There is also a new feature for an external long range Bluetooth antenna that is standard on 19s but can be added to 18s. I think you have to buy the antenna though.

Awesome, thanks. I will see if they will let me get a copy. Spark is interesting, wonder what the heck that could be.

My 2017 is at my dealer for some warranty service work but gave me a 2018 X23 to use until its back. The first thing I noticed was how terrible the stereo is compared to 2017. Volume was a major disappointment, but overall I didn't think it was anywhere near the quality of JL nor did the Klipsch headunit seem anywhere near as nice as Fusion. The X23 they gave me is not the dual screen setup, so it has the small screen & the Klipsch remote on the right side. The volume knob doesn't rotate smoothly (it clicks to provide feedback maybe???) and I didn't find the interface to be intuitive at all. The transom remote is basic (no display) whereas the fusion remote does have a display. It's a big step down in terms of stereo, IMO. Quite frankly, I want my 2017 back ASAP, and I'm pretty grateful this boat isn't giving me the itch to upgrade.

I'm interested to see what improvements they made, but I think they have a larger issue than just volume.
