Thx! We currently have reservation at the Lake Powell Resort at the Waheap marina. How are boat rentals from there? Or recommend Antelope instead? Also, I am renting a large SUV so could launch the boat myself at the ramp at Waheap, right?
With the lake low, any areas to definitely avoid?

Wahweap has boat rentals and if you just stayed within Wahweap Bay, you’d be fine.

If you haven’t been following the “Lake Powell Beaches” thread here in the General Discussion section, take a spin through that as we discussed the impact of the low water levels.

Your rental SUV may not have a tow hitch - many companies order theirs specifically withOUT hitches. Even if it does, your agreement may prohibit you from towing and even include some type of anti tamper tie on the hitch.

This is typically true. The last time I needed a rental to tow, I had to get a Uhaul pickup. I couldn't find a traditional rental company that would let me tow with their vehicles.

Another option is Enterprise commercial rental for pick-ups you can tow with. I believe it was $20 extra for towing approval on a F250.
