My Dad died this morning.
He was gonna be 80 next week and we were all flying out to celebrate it
He was still working as a local State Farm Insurance agent of 55 years and wrecked on his way home from work a week ago.
In the hospital it Turned out he had an aggressive form of brain cancer and was gone in 7 shorts days.
So sad.
I grew up boating with him on the Chesapeake Bay. It was pretty magical looking back, not quite the same as here in California.
We would always wave to other Boaters passing by on the Bay and Rivers.
I remember this one thing he told me about boaters.
" the people you wave to on the water .... they are the same ones that flip you off on the Road"
I never forgot that.
To this day .. I try to wave to people on the Road.
We all should
