Wet Sounds speakers and amp(s) for a pontoon

I don’t really care where I can buy them as long as they sound good and don’t break. One thing about kicker is they can take some abuse! I would get them since three pairs is cheaper than one. The LEDs are really nice too with the remote!

I figured if I was keeping the 6.5s, I'd do Revos or one of the other higher models from someone else.

Yeah, I have (1) Syn-DX6 in stock. I can order in any of the Wetsounds speakers but I just stock certain amps and tower speakers that people typically buy when they replace Klipsch equipment in the 2018+ boats.

I have an 800/8, but it is water damaged and only 6 channels work. I suppose it would work for this project, but it bothers me that it is not fully functional.

Hard pass on kicker stuff. Quality is not what it used to be, and I’m not a fan of the sound quality.

LOL, yeah, I agree, the quality of the Kicker marine gear is not what it used to be. Its unbelievably solid these days.

Kicker has stepped up their game immensely. They too are looking for the buyer's market niche.

Sound being suggestive is why I thought just go with JL. I don't think I can go wrong with JL, I just have to pay a fortune for it.

It had 6.5s and I cut the holes for the 7.7 fit. A surprising upgrade of sound over the 6.5 speaker.

The new vinyl floor was the winner for the owner. He was fed up with caring for carpet.

After the install I did, that is what we did. Parked beside different toons and compared (Wets were one of the systems), and the guy was/is still OK with his choice.

All to the preference of each to their own.

So what amp(s) to run (6) JL M6 8.8s?

The JL 6 channel amps are only 75w RMS. The speakers are 125w RMS.

I feel like these speakers should get around 150w per speaker.
