92 transmission mount bolts

Removed and rebuilt transmission and I noticed that one of the transmission mount bolts was stripped. Any ideas on what size that is and where I can get a replacement? It is a very fine thread and I am not sure Lowes will carry that one.

Not sure on the size but if you have a fastenal near you just take it to them. They'll match it up.

are you talking about the bolt that goes into the stringer or the one that goes into the transmission?

Just bought some at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember size but you can remove another one and take it with you, they have a sizing board mounted to the shelf.

good to know. I will go to lowes. I just thought the fine thread is a little less common. Lowes is easier. Ill try there then Fastenal. And those are just Grade 8 bolts correct?

Yes, that's what I used. Thought about stainless but I don't know if they are strong enough.

The one's in my 1996 Prostar are stainless steel. That's the way it came from the factory.
