Tower lights - rear facing

Are they worth it? Not planning to surf at night but wondering how good these might be for backing docking or just generally seeing on the boat... I am ordering the speaker ring lights just because they look cool.... and have the done light and underwater lights...

Does anyone ever use the rear facing tower lights for anything other than trying to sneak a ride at night?

Factory Rear lights are expensive...I have them, but would not "order" them.
We don't really boat at night on the west coast..so

I have them on my older boat & use them quite a bit for night boating. Remember that "newer" boats have a lot more indoor LED lighting to help brighten the area for the actual boating part vs. launching/parking assistance which is where those tower lights rule the ruse. They are a bug magnet when on but I don't mind the headache of bugs vs. being able to see & clean up (sorry I'm an old man). They're probably most practical at the beginning & end of a night boat session vs. during the actual ride as they WILL be bright & get you the attention you may or may not want

I have seen on the newest stuff a dome light like setup that might be the best of both worlds.

Hope this helps...

Reviving this for help. I am looking for an aftermarket solution(that won't break the bank) for rear facing lights. I have an XT23 with a zft4 tower. wiring is there but the factory lights are outrageous.

I figured I could make something work with the existing plate. Just looking for ideas Pics will help.

I have this New light I had picked up, for a Zft4, really wanting to sell in order to buy some new Nightmare jump ski's. Light Retails you know is around 2500 , Great Lakes skipper has them for 1600, Can make me a reasonable offer...Thinking a 1100 shipped, PayPal as friend no fees or thinks of listing on eBay for around 1400 to undercut Great Lake skipper. This is the nicer light with the textured carbon looking sides. Or would consider trading for some Newer 86" D3 Nightmare Jump skies. 2015 or newer. You would get the Light & bracket. So what are your thoughts

Look great but will never be worth that much to 99% of people. Good luck with your sale, you'll need to find a chump to get rid of em at that price.

I have tower mounted rear facing lights. I have found no other use for them other than the midnight surfing runs. There are a couple members on here that participated and it was awesome. Would do it again in a minute,
