Double D's New Ride

This story started back in July when my buddy Ty was looking for a new boat. I sent him a link to a Red one and a Blue one and left it alone. After he didn't jump, I inquired about the blue one July 29th located at one of the worst locations for me, the Canadian West Coast. As 93ProStar190 (Rob) and I were traveling back from a great weekend at the 50th Anniversary MC reunion in his 214, the call came in from the dealer handling the consignment on the boat and found out it had already been sold, but the guys financing fell through, so it was available. We discussed the boat and I put down a deposit on that call, while 22 other inquirers came in.

Working through all the details to buy a boat, I paid for it on August 27th and started the drama of getting it moved from Vancouver, BC, CAN to my state of Ohio.

Today, September 14th, it arrived at my dealer Boat House Marine where they unloaded it and got me on my way. The hauler was Purpose Transport (recommended) who did a great job for me and delivered it right when he said he would.

After 40 hours of road travel, and not prepped properly by the selling dealer, she was trashed. So we pulled her home and started the clean up...

Thanks to my wife, Rob, Jeff L, Mark, Adam, Tom, Emmett, Ty, Jeff H, Ron, and Jim for all the help and support. Thanks for Jeff H for helping with the clean up and the beer. Thanks to Mark for help on the clean up, beer, champagne and glasses.

So here she is:

A fully loaded 2008 MasterCraft X14 with the MC LY6 6 Liter engine with 400 HP, and 167 Hours. And she fit in the garage with 1/2" to spare...

If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

She's a pretty one! Enjoy her.
OK, i give up- how did they get the boat and trailer on/off the transport trailer without wheels? I can't imagine they loaded it on the trailer then pulled the wheels off. And that covered lift shown holding the boat/trailer off the ground doesn't look wide enough to fit a semi. Any ideas?
