Olaff,

I haven't been provided with itinerary details/routes. The only information I've received is buy a soft top jeep and make sure its road worthy by September. I'd assume they'll depart DFW and cross from the Texas border.

Agree with you and others how dangerous this drive could be.

Mexico travel update: Kamala Harris is addressing "Root Causes" so everything is OK now.

Seriously though, I talked to a couple of my Mexican and Bordentown contacts about this. They all kind of agree that the Mexican Government control of (or probably cooperation with) the Cartel situation has improved. The Cartels are so busy and making so much money shipping people and drugs North, that they aren't much in the ransom business anymore. Also, the Mexican military is escorting large convoys of civilian vehicles for safe passage on the major highways. As long as you don't take a side road or "short cut" between the Border and Central Mexico, you may be good to go. They did say keep some bribe money handy though to "expidite" situations.
