Trailer fender repair

After a bit of a mishap on the highway the other day Iíve got a trailer fender that needs either repaired or replaced. I got a quote from a shop for $1200 to repair and do new gel coat on just that one fender I believe I can do the repair myself, although it may take some time and patience. But has anyone coated the fender and trailer with something else like plastdip? Itís not the best fix but I canít bring myself to spend $1200 on one fender. And it will probably just be temporary until I can snag a used one like I see every once and a while

Edit: it doesnít look like gel coat is actually that expensive. Has anyone ever applied it themselves?

Yea, you can repair yourself. I did it on my single axle too.

Outstanding. Did you go back with the gel coat?

Never mind. Looked at your post. Thanks for the link
