Wave was at least as good as my 2018 and 2020 XStars. I'd argue that it was better in all regards, especially considering there was only one person in the boat. The extra ballast (only 200lbs more than the reg XStar) did seem noticeable, even though I wouldnt have thought it would be. Might be also due to the new SurfStar system, and the slight changes in the tabs. Either way, it is a little better than I had before, which is crazy, considering how good the reg XStars surf.
Wave consistency was absolutely perfect every run, and the wave tuning with SurfStar is fantastic.
Wakeboard wake seemed exactly like my last 2 XStars.
Thruster is awesome, and the operation method in the MC (twisting throttle knob) is the perfect way to run it. So much easier and precise than how it is operated in a Malibu or Nautique (Malibu has a switch on dash, and you need 3 arms to operate. Nautique uses steering wheel position or buttons on the screen. You'd think the steering input method would work good, but the software isn't quite intuitive enough to be accurate yet). The MC setup is just perfect for accuracy and ease of operation. I never thought I'd own an inboard that was drastically more maneuverable than a stern drive........ but I do now.
