Turned out great...I'd probably drive across the country for a boat like that

Can't wait to see pics of the sandstone interior!

Congrats on the boat and the marriage, but where are your priorities? You've got the rest of your life with the wife, but you've got, at best 2 years with the boat, based on your track record.

For those that have their Xstar S’s, any wave pics? How is it? Also, how is the stern thruster working out?

I bet it’s terrible, which is why nobody has posted videos yet. Prove me wrong.

Had a lot going on and haven't been able to run the boat much. Finally got out again last night for a surf and a wake run. Didn't really think to grab pics, and it was only two of us out there. I can at least comment on it though......

Wave was at least as good as my 2018 and 2020 XStars. I'd argue that it was better in all regards, especially considering there was only one person in the boat. The extra ballast (only 200lbs more than the reg XStar) did seem noticeable, even though I wouldnt have thought it would be. Might be also due to the new SurfStar system, and the slight changes in the tabs. Either way, it is a little better than I had before, which is crazy, considering how good the reg XStars surf.

Wave consistency was absolutely perfect every run, and the wave tuning with SurfStar is fantastic.

Wakeboard wake seemed exactly like my last 2 XStars.

Thruster is awesome, and the operation method in the MC (twisting throttle knob) is the perfect way to run it. So much easier and precise than how it is operated in a Malibu or Nautique (Malibu has a switch on dash, and you need 3 arms to operate. Nautique uses steering wheel position or buttons on the screen. You'd think the steering input method would work good, but the software isn't quite intuitive enough to be accurate yet). The MC setup is just perfect for accuracy and ease of operation. I never thought I'd own an inboard that was drastically more maneuverable than a stern drive........ but I do now.
