Access to blower on 2005 PS 209

How do I get access to the blower that is under the panel that the engine cover hinges are connected to? I removed the back seat and the gas struts to lean the cover all the way back. Do I need to unbolt the cover hinges or is there a trick to avoid that step? I assume the panel is just friction fit in place once the weight of the cover is off of it.

That rear panel is friction fit. It is a pain in a$$ but you leave the engine cover attached and pull the floor piece with it. Is the fan really underneath that panel?
