Wtb: 06-2010 X2

Hey guys!

Iím a newbie to team talk and first time post. The wife and I are looking to buy our first boat. We are tired of mooching off the family pro star 197. Looking at the X2, we want more space and comfort. I have lots of questions for you X2 experts but wanted to start with price and hours on the motor?? Does high time on the motor effect the price very much?? There are a few for sale right now on onlyinboards.com that we are looking at, I know the market is high for boats and there isnít much out there. I attached a few links on the ones we are looking at. I talked to one of the members here on TT thatís selling his, heís got the 2010 X2 over in the for sale section the viper red color one. I will take any and all the advise you guys want to throw my ways. Thanks!

Welcome to the best forum !
300-400 hours on a well built boat like Mastercraft of mid 2000's is nothing to be concerned about.
The red one with 700 hours is getting up there. But would not be a show stopper to me if it checked out.

Great thanks for that! What about price? $50-60k for these boats? Seems high but I also realize boats are hard to coming by these days, not much inventory out there

we have owned our since new. it has been a great boat overall. almost to 800 hrs and have very little issues.

on the 2nd one you posted i would be curious what "surf tabs" it has. if it's gen 1 they are pretty much worthless. gen 2 or GSA do produce a solid wake. we added GSA on ours about 4 or 5 years ago.

50K is about right for this crazy market right now. My friend bought a very nice used 2007 XStar 2 years ago for 40K. The same boat is going for close to 50K now.

Thanks guys for the info on the boats we really appreciate it. I sent the owner of the second boat a message but haven’t heard anything. $50k does seem like the going price right now for these boats. It’s amazing to see how much they have come up in value! We are going to keep watching the market and see what happens this fall. If you guys have any other advise on what to look out for I’m all ears. Appreciate the time

I have an '08 X2 with 6XX hrs on the RTP engine. I'm the second owner, but the original owner never had any noteworthy issues and I haven't had a single problem since I've owned it. No regrets about my purchase at all and I'm sure you'll feel the same with whatever you end up with. Best of luck in your search!

Appreciate the advise HurricaneMC. There is one online with 775hr right now it’s a 2010 and it looks like it’s in great condition.
