      This is awesome man. We have a few machinist on this page maybe they could fab up some Stainless mounting plates and sell them.

        I really want to do this upgrade on my 05 X2 and have it be the last time I mess with the fuel pump. Thank you for posting. Did you ever figure out the 3rd wire?

          I bit the bullet and did it as well. I had a fuel pump relay go out while on the water and got paranoid. Luckily I had a spare relay and didnt let it ruin the day.

          I designed the mounting plate and can get them cut on a waterjet for about 150 bucks in stainless. If you want aluminum, they can be done online for 54 dollars. The stock is SS, but aluminum would work. If you want it, email me and I can send anyone the CAD file for CNC.

              wow nice work - looks like it might future proof things a bit as well not having to deal with the oddball size for the submerged fuel line
