Reasonable Scuba Top for cold mornings

I got a 2 piece farmer johns jet pilot suit a few years ago. The jacket is so short that it's near the top of my belly button. I'm looking to get another jacket only. I've been searching ebay, but a lot of those say the sizes are from China and to measure twice and use their chart which
doesn't help much. Plus the material listed isn't always neoprene?
So anyone gone through this decision process and what did you learn?
I don't want to spend a lot, nmt $50ish is max.
Yes I know it's not cold enough for one, but if it makes me ski a little longer than I can take the comments.
