Handle Cam - evolution

I am always pursuing different camera angles to attempt to get unique and great footage. Years ago we build a handle cam using pvc and connected the camera about 4' away from the handle. It worked great but was a bit heavy. I want to revisit that idea, possibly get the camera about 5' away from handle. Was thinking about using a spare deep V handle and having two very thin pvc extentions down to where the rope connects to the main line (5') and mounting the camera to the pvc. By mounting the pvc to the handle where the crossbar is ~ 8inches from the handle will give the rider control on the camera from spinning etc. Just need help on how to construct and bring two pvc parts together to then mount the camera? Ideas?
