Upgrade 2017 XT23 to Fast Fill. Possible???

Hey all!

My 2017 XT23 takes too long (always has) to fill all ballasts for surfing and I see the Fast Fill option on new boats. Can I change out my 2017 XT23 pumps and get this option (or another idea from you guys), or does it require new hoses which feed the input side of the bags (and obviously a larger hole in the rear locker bags). I would certainly upgrade to save 5 minutes (twice a freaking day).

Have not posted in a while, and yes I looked here and on the web for an answer.

Cheers

I think the answer is yes, but not easily. You would need to change out the through hull intakes/ overflows, all hoses, the fitting going into the tanks, the pumps and more. If you are handy and have patience, possible. I think WakeJunkie may have posted something?

Its possible but depends on your tank fittings. They need to be 1.5 and I think those came in mid 18 boats. Mine have it and use a reducer fitting to 1 as shown below. You need larger hose, tank fittings, and bags. The bags could be wake maker with 1.5 reduced to two 1 inputs. Electrical you need your own custom wiring. Im doing all this to my boat very soon.

I guess it possible to put larger pumped necked down to 1 into tanks but I worry about the pressure increase with flow restricted to 1. Might be possible with all straight fittings and no 90s but still wouldnt flow the 30 gpm rating.

Absolutely can make two kits! Im making the parts list and wiring diagram now. Im sure the relays are overkill but I dont want any failures or voltage drop. Im projecting higher voltage than the rating to pumps for even faster fill.

I was hoping for an install thread how to when you were talking about this upgrade last year. If you offer a completed kit that you know works even better!

Thanks. I will check my boat to see if I have 1.5" or not and if my bags are 1.5: with reducer. Electrical can't be difficult as it's 12V in to the new pumps.

I 99% certain your bags will be 1 hoses. Ive only seen one boat that has 1 hose to pump/tank with 1.5 tank to bags. Must of been a Friday boat and put whatever in it so it has ballast haha.

Electrical is not too difficult but more than you would think. The bigger pumps draw 30 amps continuous and rated for 50 amp fuse for peak during start up. The factory uses pdm and its not a simple plug and play. You have to make your own wiring to deliver the voltage and amperage needed that works with factory timers and switches.
