Your towing rig is set up completely wrong.
EVERYONE on the Forum knows you are supposed to tow with the FIN of the surboard towards the front of the vehicle when roof rack mounted.

The only reason to tow with fin in the front is to have a strap behind the fin in case of sliding. My cross bars are spread out far enough where the back strap is behind the fin. Not my first rodeo.

My F-450 does a pretty decent job of towing my heavy x-55

lol, Im using a '01 gmc 2500 to tow a X-80...not even a long bed...or crew cab...
