    Rotate Tandem Trailer Tires???

Just curious, is there any advantage to rotating the tires on a tandem trailer? If so, what would be the recommended pattern for rotation?

probably not, but MCOCD demands that we do it. The consensus is that trailer tires die from old age before they wear out.

do what you would do with your car: front tires go straight to back, back tires go diagonally to front

Not if you have directional tires on a low profile trailer setup with 18" wheels.

I'll say no need to. Unless you got one wearing funny and want to extend the life by moving it to a better spot. Otherwise the tires should not wear differently.

I have rotated when I serviced the wheel bearings .... I don’t do it for wear only, I tend to think the front tire of the pair takes more abuse so I rotate, I also feel like the front wheel has a bit more of the weight on my direct drives. Even when totally level.

It's not a bad idea if you put a lot of miles on your trailer.

Thanks for the input. I think that I will rotate them. Can't hurt!
