Water 'inside' fiberglass swim platform - anyone have this?

There seems to be water getting into my fiberglass swim platform. I hear it 'move' when I tilt it down and it also drops from between the layers on the flange/ lip if I press down on the middle of the platform.

My belief is this isn't just under the black rubber pad but rather inside the actual layers in the platform.

Anyone had this issue? Or any thoughts on how to fix it?

My boat lives on a trailer, not in the lake. So platform isn't constantly exposed to water.

Mine would get a little water in it. I think it was coming in through the one or some mounting screw holes. After a day at the lake, a little water would drip from a couple of the screws. I never did anything to fix it though.........

I have not had the problem, so just a theory. Could you put silicone sealant/caulking around the mounting screw heads?

I have the same in my platform, I was working on surf tabs and could here the pressure going out on a tiny hole , i just let it sit few days in sun and put some Silikone inside the whole, maybe it prevent the water to go in again...
